We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Barista Shift Supervisor to join our team at our new Champlin MN Location (near MANN movie theater Champlin). The Barista Shift Supervisor will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional customer service, leading a team of baristas, and ensuring the smooth operation of the coffee shop during their shifts. Responsibilities
- Working as a supervisor during PM/closing shifts (need to work closing shifts at least three times a week and willing to work one day on weekends)
- Provide excellent customer service by taking and preparing orders, addressing customer inquiries, and ensuring a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
- Lead and motivate a team of baristas during your shifts, ensuring they follow established guidelines, maintain a clean workspace, and deliver top-quality beverages.
- Ensure that coffee and espresso drinks are prepared to the highest standards, maintaining the quality and consistency of our offerings.
- Train new baristas on the company's standards, recipes, and customer service protocols.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels, place orders as necessary, and track usage to minimize waste.
- Assist in creating and managing work schedules, and ensure that the coffee shop is adequately staffed during your shift
- Maintain a clean and organized coffee shop, including regular cleaning and maintenance tasks.
- Resolve customer complaints and address any issues that may arise during your shift promptly.
- Ensure that employees follow health and safety regulations, as well as the coffee shop's policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a barista or in a similar role.
- Leadership experience and the ability to lead a team effectively.
- Excellent customer service and communication skill
- Hands-on experience with brewing equipment, and knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and beverage recipes, Experience of preparing food in a quick service restaurant is a plus
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
- Knowledge of sanitation regulations
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including AM/PM, weekends and holidays.
