Job Description
We are seeking a Marine Diesel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong diesel mechanical knowledge and experience in servicing Detroit Diesel and MTU engines. This role involves diagnosing, repairing and maintaining various marine systems, ensuring that all work is done to the highest standards of quality and safety. The Marine Diesel Technician will also provide exceptional customer service, assisting clients with their marine needs and ensuring their satisfaction.
Duties
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in marine vessels.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers to ensure accurate assessments.
- Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot complex systems effectively.
- Operate power tools safely and efficiently during repair and maintenance tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
- Be able to provide in writing for the estimate what was accomplished on each marine vessel for estimates for the customer.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.15 - $31.49 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
