Asphalt Foreman

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Asphalt Foreman to lead and oversee asphalt paving projects from start to finish. Duties

• Supervise asphalt paving crew, managing daily operations to meet project deadlines and quality standards
• Coordinate construction schedules to optimize workflow and resource allocation
• Review construction drawings and technical specifications to ensure accurate execution of paving activities
• Enforce OSHA safety regulations and federal construction safety standards across all job sites
• Manage project budgets, track costs, and oversee procurement of materials using construction management software
• Conduct quality control inspections, including blueprint reading and construction drawing review, to verify work accuracy
• Oversee crew management, including supervising team members, managing labor productivity, and ensuring proper crew management practices
• Collaborate with project managers on contract adherence, change orders, and project scheduling adjustments
• Utilize tools such as Ohmmeter for quality testing of materials and ensure proper use of construction safety equipment

Requirements

• Proven experience in commercial and residential asphalt paving projects
• Strong knowledge of construction management
• Extensive construction site experience with a focus on asphalt paving, including interpreting technical drawings and managing construction schedules
• Familiarity with OSHA standards, federal construction safety regulations, and construction safety management practices
• Ability to read blueprints, review construction drawings, and interpret technical specifications accurately
• Demonstrated skills in project scheduling, budgeting, quality control, and managing teams in a fast-paced environment
• Supervisory experience supervising crews on large-scale projects with excellent managerial communication skills preferred but not mandatory
• Knowledge of construction regulations related to commercial projects and pipeline work where applicable

Pay: $29.74 - $35.82 per hour
