Network Engineer III

Job Description

Blackstone Talent Group, an award-winning technology consulting and talent agency is seeking a Network Engineer III to join our Client's team.

In this role the candidate will serve as a Network Engineer supporting build out and deployments to the operational environment necessary. The candidate will work within an agile scrum team and plan work based on customer requirements and program contractual agreements.

Responsibilities:

• Candidate will be a primary Network Engineer supporting the C2BMC Program
• Candidate will be responsible for planning, deploying, integrating, and testing upgrades to the C2BMC network to operational sites.
• Candidate will be responsible for traveling to remote locations to lead and perform network installations, independently perform troubleshooting, and provide status updates to Program personnel.
• Candidate must be willing and able to assist with real world events, to include nights and weekends.
• The position requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline (i.e. EE, CIS, CPE, MIS, IT), or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Master's degree.
• The position requires IAT Level II 8570 Compliant Certification such as Security , GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA, etc.
• The position requires government Top Secret security clearance.
• This position requires CCNA or JNCIA certificate
• The position is based at a LM facility in Colorado Springs, CO in the long-term, however, this role must be able to travel to alternate work locations, such as Schriever Space Force Base, Alaska, Guam, Europe, etc., to execute job duties such as deployments.
  
  

Experience:

• Must be a proven network engineer with hands-on mid-level experience and knowledge of network design, development and testing methodologies.
• Must have an understanding of the OSI Model, TCP/IP, routing protocols BGP and OSPF.
• Must have network traffic analysis, diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Must have firewall experience –especially Juniper, Fortinet, and Palo Alto
• Must have experience in UDP multicast, SONET, MSPP, VLANs, GRE Tunnels, and TCP/IP network designs.
• Must have hands on experience with multi-vendor switching routing (Juniper, Cisco), WAN optimizer, TACLANEs, and optical transport equipment.
• Must be an effective communicator with excellent writing and presentation skills using Microsoft Office products, especially PowerPoint and Visio.
• Must thrive and do your best work in a collaborative and agile environment.
• Must understand DOD security practices such as, STIG compliance and system accreditation implementation efforts.
• Familiarization with virtualization technologies – NFV, SDWAN, VMware, VMware Cloud Foundation, NSX, SAN, and Aria
  
  

Desired Experience:

• Experience with network automation using Ansible
• Prior C2BMC experience
  
  

Security Clearance Required: Secret
