About

We are seeking a Product Owner – Operational Products and Automation to own the operational tooling and automation portfolio across OpDaaS. This is a high-visibility role accountable for designing and delivering the products and automations that let global operations, commissioning, and site teams run our data center estate with greater speed, consistency, and confidence – and for the governance products that keep the underlying data trustworthy as the platform expands.

The successful candidate will partner deeply with global and regional operations leadership, the Global Command Center, commissioning teams, and market-level stakeholders to identify and prioritize the operational workflows where OpDaaS can eliminate manual effort, reduce cost, and create operational leverage. They will own the Minimum Viable Infrastructure (MVI) framework as the gating discipline for site onboarding, convening input from the API Products and Reporting and Analytics Products owners and from operations stakeholders to produce a prioritized, defensible onboarding sequence. They will own data quality as an ongoing product discipline.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Product Strategy & Execution

• Own the product roadmap for operational tools, workflows, and automations that reduce manual effort and operational risk across the ops organization.

• Own platform decisions for the operational product surface — interaction patterns, automation primitives, event routing, and downstream system integration.

• Identify and build solutions for use cases where OpDaaS can replace fragmented tooling or manual processes — sequencing investment against operational impact.

• Establish and monitor KPIs – adoption, savings, efficiencies, stakeholder satisfaction.

Data Quality & Platform Integrity

• Own data quality as an ongoing product discipline, including the data quality dashboard, scoring dimensions, and red/amber/green framework.

• Own the Minimum Viable Infrastructure (MVI) framework – OpDaaS compatibility criteria

• Execute the site onboarding prioritization and roadmap process, considering the demand from across the business.

Operations Partnership

• Lead the partnership with operations to surface backlog demand, groom requirements, and prioritize their needs within the product backlog.

• Validate concepts with ops stakeholders before, during, and after development, including direct observation of operational workflows where appropriate.

• Represent the voice of operations in product decisions; translate operational needs into specifications with defined acceptance criteria.

• Surface operational risks — including parallel-tooling and fragmentation risks — early, directly, and with proposed resolutions.

Backlog & Delivery Management

• Own the product backlog; express items in terms of operational value and outcomes.

• Write, refine, and groom user stories with clear acceptance criteria; maintain 2–3 sprints of refined stories.

• Work with the Product Manager to define high-confidence release deliverables, weighted toward the operational risk profile of changes ops teams depend on.

• Define edge cases and test scenarios covering operational continuity, alarm and event fidelity, and sites in varying stages of readiness.

• Participate actively in sprint ceremonies; make real-time scope decisions when capacity requires trade-offs.

• Accept or reject completed work against acceptance criteria, including operational verification where appropriate.

Product Craft & Continuous Improvement

• Connect quarterly delivery to operational KPIs, efficiency targets, and the broader OpDaaS strategic narrative.

• Develop deep understanding of both the technical architecture and the operational processes the products support.

• Continuously study how ops teams actually work — surface friction, manual workarounds, and automation opportunities not yet on any roadmap.

Qualifications

Required

• Hands-on Product Owner / backlog owner experience in a Scrum or SAFe environment.

• Experience with internal-tools or operational products — workflow design, automation, event handling, and the role of data quality in operational trust.

• Strong technical aptitude and extreme attention to detail, particularly around operational correctness and the failure modes that erode trust in a platform.

• Excellent written and verbal communication, including the ability to present leadership.

• Cross-functional stakeholder management experience, with a track record of partnering with operations or other internal-user communities.

• Proven ability to manage competing priorities, make trade-off decisions, and communicate rationally clearly.

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred

• Experience owning products for 24/7 operational user communities.

• Experience with event, alarm, or incident management platforms — including alarm rationalization, event routing, and escalation workflows.

• Familiarity with data center infrastructure: power, environmental, critical systems, and commissioning workflows.

• Experience with ServiceNow, CMDB, or similar ITSM platforms as integration partners.
