Blackstone Talent Group, an award-winning technology consulting and talent agency is seeking a Business Process Lead – PLM to join our Client's team.
We are seeking an experienced Business Process Lead to drive the successful implementation and adoption of a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) platform (Fusion Manage) within our engineering organization.
This is a business leadership role, responsible for defining, standardizing, and operationalizing engineering processes that will be enabled by PLM. The role will act on behalf of the Head of Engineering to ensure business requirements are clearly defined, decisions are made in a timely manner, and adoption is achieved across the organization.
This individual will own business process design, data readiness, and change management, working in close partnership with IT, who will lead the technical implementation.

Key Responsibilities
- Business Process Ownership & Design
- Lead definition and standardization of core engineering processes, including:
- Engineering Change Orders (ECO/ECR)
- Part and BOM management
- Document control and release processes
- Product structure governance
- Facilitate working sessions with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain stakeholders
- Translate business needs into clear, actionable process requirements for configuration in PLM
- Drive decision-making and resolve process ambiguity or conflicts
- Program Leadership (Business Side)
- Act as the primary business representative for the PLM program
- Attend and actively participate in all core project meetings
- Partner closely with IT and implementation partners to ensure alignment between process design and system configuration
- Track and drive completion of business-side deliverables, including process documentation and approvals
- Data Readiness & Migration Oversight
- Lead business effort for data cleanup and preparation (parts, BOMs, documents)
- Define data standards, governance, and ownership
- Ensure readiness for migration into PLM
- Validate migrated data meets business requirements
- Change Management & Adoption
- Develop and execute a business-led change management strategy
- Define training needs and support development of training materials
- Establish adoption metrics and success criteria
- Act as a champion for process discipline and PLM usage across engineering teams
- Reporting & Business Insights
- Define business reporting requirements (e.g., change cycle time, release status, engineering throughput)
- Ensure PLM supports meaningful operational and leadership reporting
- Partner with IT to deliver dashboards and insights aligned to business goals
Required:
- 8–12 years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, or product development environments
- Proven experience leading PLM implementations from the business side
- Strong background in engineering process design and governance
- Demonstrated success driving organizational change and adoption
- Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and supply chain teams
- Ability to lead without direct authority and drive decisions in complex environments
- Direct experience with Autodesk Fusion Manage or similar PLM platforms
- Experience in mid-to-large scale enterprise environments
- Familiarity with regulated or highly structured product development environments
- Operates as a business leader, not a system administrator or IT proxy
- Drives clarity and decisions in ambiguous environments
- Holds stakeholders accountable for participation and deliverables
- Focuses on process adoption and business outcomes, not just system deployment
- Builds strong partnership with IT while maintaining clear separation of responsibilities
