Director of Architecture Higher Education

This role is ideal for a visionary leader who excels at team building, client relationships, and driving strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the Maryland Higher Education architecture practice.
• Identify new business opportunities and strengthen client partnerships.
• Oversee large-scale projects from concept through completion, ensuring design quality and on-time delivery.
• Guide teams in design excellence, project management, and technical documentation.
• Foster a collaborative, innovative, and mentorship-focused studio culture.
• Support recruitment, development, and retention of top architectural talent.

Required Qualifications

• Architectural License (NCARB preferred) with 18 years in higher education design.
• Professional licenses beyond Maryland (Southeast/Mid-Atlantic).
• LEED AP accreditation and SCUP membership.
• Demonstrated success in business development and winning new work.
• Proficiency in design and graphic modeling tools (Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Suite).
• Experience managing $10M-$50M architectural projects.
