Blackrock Strategy is seeking a Subcontracts Administrator II to support subcontract administration activities across defense and federal contracting efforts within a contractor-side environment.
This role supports subcontract execution, compliance, documentation, vendor coordination, and operational support activities across contracts, procurement, finance, legal, and program teams.
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
- Subcontract lifecycle administration and coordination
- FAR/DFARS-compliant subcontract activities
- RFPs/RFQs, proposal support, and subcontract modifications
- Cost/price analysis and subcontract negotiations
- Audit-ready subcontract documentation and CPSR support
- Vendor coordination and subcontract performance tracking
- Mission-focused government contracting operations
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support subcontract lifecycle activities including solicitation, award, modifications, administration, and closeout
- Prepare and issue RFPs/RFQs and assist with proposal evaluations
- Draft and maintain subcontract documentation in accordance with FAR/DFARS and company policies
- Coordinate with program managers, finance, legal, and vendors to support subcontract execution
- Track deliverables, funding, modifications, and subcontract performance activities
- Support audits, compliance reviews, and procurement system requirements
- Maintain organized, audit-ready subcontract files and reporting documentation
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 4 years of experience supporting subcontract administration, procurement, contracts administration, or related functions within a federal government contractor environment
- Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS and federal procurement processes
- Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in deadline-driven environments
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard business systems
- U.S. Citizenship required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience supporting DoD contractor, prime contractor, or subcontractor environments
- Experience with Costpoint, Unanet, SAP, or similar systems
- Familiarity with CPSR requirements and subcontract compliance reviews
- NCMA certifications (CPCM, CFCM, CCCM) preferred
COMPENSATION
Estimated starting compensation for this role begins in the $80,000–$100,000 range depending on experience, subcontract background, and overall alignment with program requirements.

LOCATION REQUIREMENT
This position is full-time and on-site in Huntsville, Alabama. Candidates must currently reside within commuting distance of Huntsville, AL, or be willing to relocate prior to the start date.
