Role Overview


The Account Executive role requires a Sales Hunter mentality and is primarily responsible for:


  • Generating new customer relationships through the sale of BlackHawk Data's key offerings within a specific geography or vertical market.
  • Maintaining and growing existing customer relationships within their territory.


Key Responsibilities


  • Service existing clients and generate new customer relationships through BlackHawk Data’s offerings.
  • Meet or exceed the assigned annual quota (typically $500K–$1M).
  • Participate in business development and demand-generation activities to support growth.
  • Follow BlackHawk Data’s core selling models, consistently applying MEDDICC methodologies.
  • Research accounts/prospects to understand their function, target customers, decision makers, VAR relationships, IT budget, and financial metrics.
  • Represent BlackHawk Data in a professional and highly ethical manner at all times.
  • Build relationships with focus manufacturer representatives covering the assigned territory or vertical.
  • Develop relationships with multiple decision makers within accounts, especially at the C-level.
  • Stay current with customer IT strategies and upcoming projects.
  • Effectively communicate BlackHawk Data’s value proposition to key stakeholders.
  • Stay up to date with partner registration programs and incentives.
  • Use the company’s CRM tool and prospecting tools as directed by sales management.
  • Maintain consistent contact with all assigned accounts.
  • Build a personal brand within the territory and grow business from a standing start.
  • Conduct cold calling into assigned territory/market to identify new customers and projects.
  • Collaborate with internal and external resources to develop and sell solutions.
  • Accurately forecast business using the company CRM tool.


Qualifications:


  • 2 years of solution-based selling (products and/or services).
  • Outside sales experience with direct end-user accounts.
  • 2 years of proven success in selling technology or related projects in a territory-based assignment.
  • Strong understanding of key technology solutions.
  • Demonstrated success in a Sales Hunter role with quota/growth targets driven by new business.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience required.
  • Demonstrated resiliency and personal drive to succeed.
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly.

  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with a team-oriented mindset.
