Role Overview
The Account Executive role requires a Sales Hunter mentality and is primarily responsible for:
- Generating new customer relationships through the sale of BlackHawk Data's key offerings within a specific geography or vertical market.
- Maintaining and growing existing customer relationships within their territory.
Key Responsibilities
- Service existing clients and generate new customer relationships through BlackHawk Data’s offerings.
- Meet or exceed the assigned annual quota (typically $500K–$1M).
- Participate in business development and demand-generation activities to support growth.
- Follow BlackHawk Data’s core selling models, consistently applying MEDDICC methodologies.
- Research accounts/prospects to understand their function, target customers, decision makers, VAR relationships, IT budget, and financial metrics.
- Represent BlackHawk Data in a professional and highly ethical manner at all times.
- Build relationships with focus manufacturer representatives covering the assigned territory or vertical.
- Develop relationships with multiple decision makers within accounts, especially at the C-level.
- Stay current with customer IT strategies and upcoming projects.
- Effectively communicate BlackHawk Data’s value proposition to key stakeholders.
- Stay up to date with partner registration programs and incentives.
- Use the company’s CRM tool and prospecting tools as directed by sales management.
- Maintain consistent contact with all assigned accounts.
- Build a personal brand within the territory and grow business from a standing start.
- Conduct cold calling into assigned territory/market to identify new customers and projects.
- Collaborate with internal and external resources to develop and sell solutions.
- Accurately forecast business using the company CRM tool.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of solution-based selling (products and/or services).
- Outside sales experience with direct end-user accounts.
- 2 years of proven success in selling technology or related projects in a territory-based assignment.
- Strong understanding of key technology solutions.
- Demonstrated success in a Sales Hunter role with quota/growth targets driven by new business.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience required.
- Demonstrated resiliency and personal drive to succeed.
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly.
