Position Summary
Blackhawk Country Club is seeking a pro shop attendant to work in the Tennis Pro Shop. The ideal candidate has a good work ethic and the ability to communicate well with members and guests. It is imperative that the candidate is professional and provides excellent customer service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Responsible for food and beverage ordering and inventory.
- Maintains SOP for clubhouse F&B.
- Ensures that all club members and guests receive courteous, prompt, and professional attention to all of their racquet sports needs.
- Answers the shop telephone, assists with questions as able and prepares detailed messages for racquet sports members.
- Responsible for booking playing times. Updates sign-up sheets for court reservations.
- Signs in members and their guests, then directs them to their courts.
- Collects payment and makes correct change quickly with a high level of customer service.
- Informs members about club programs and tournaments.
- Promotes and sells Racquet Shop merchandise.
- Rotates merchandise periodically.
- Restocks merchandise when necessary.
- Assists members and guests with Racquet Shop merchandise selections and purchases.
- Prepares basic snack bar food items and beverages and serves them to members and guests.
- Maintains Clubhouse cleanliness and keeps storage area tidy.
- Reports any complaints, feedback, or concerns from membership to the Director of Racquet Sports or Tennis Professional.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Ability to communicate professionally and enthusiastically with members and employees.
- Provide excellent customer service, exceptional people skills and high level of enthusiasm and professionalism.
- Proficiency using the following types of equipment: computer, telephone, credit card transaction verifier and computer printer, ovens, dishwasher, vacuum cleaner.
- Ability to prepare food and drinks.
- Must be able to perform tasks under occasional stress while maintaining a pleasant image to members and employees.
- Must follow all meal break and overtime rules.
- Applicants must be at least 21 years of age and must be willing to work evenings and weekends.
