What are the responsibilities and job description for the Violin Instructor position at Blackbird Music?
Blackbird Music is looking for violin instructor for private one on one music lessons. If you can teach viola and cello it is a plus. We have an opening for Fridays 3:00-7:00 pm and sub work for other days if available. More days will be available in the future. Duties of the instructors include developing an individual lesson plan for each student and communicating clearly with students and parents.

Responsibilities:
- Provide a positive, up-beat music lesson experience for students.
- Understand what each student wants to accomplish and develop a lesson plan.
- Communicate clearly with students, parents and Blackbird staff
- Prepare students for recitals when ready.
Qualifications:
We have to be able to sell you as a teacher to potential clients. Here are some qualities that would make you a good candidate for the job and all are not required.
- Extensive performance experience and advanced knowledge on your instrument.
- A music degree or extended music training beyond high school. A music degree is not required.
- Teaching experience of any kind.
- College degree of any kind or college experience. Again, not required.
- Must have completed High School
