Esthetician

The esthetician is responsible for greeting Blackberry Farm guests in the spa, making them comfortable, and providing them with 5-star facial treatments. The ultimate purpose is to provide relaxation and restoration to our guests. Must work with and aid other team members in spa operations to ensure a 5-star experience for the guest

This position offers an hourly rate of $50–$75, reflective of experience, expertise, and commitment level (part-time or full-time). Compensation also varies based on scope of services provided.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Perform facial treatments

• Waxing and hair removal treatments

• Perform body treatments such as wraps

• Make sure the work area is clean, and equipment is sanitized

• Understanding of all products in the spa

• Help guests select products for purchase

• Maintain a clean work area and equipment

• Fold and stock rooms and closet

• Remove soiled laundry

• Bring in clean laundry

• Assist in opening and closing duties

• Transport guests

• Attend the front desk if the coordinator needs to step away briefly

• Any tasks deemed necessary by the manager to keep the spa clean, stocked, and operating smoothly

Must comply with all company policies and procedures.

To perform the essential functions of this position, regular and predictable attendance is required.

Must be able to work well with other Team Members and managers and interact with our guests.

Must have the flexibility to work nights and weekends.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

• None

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

• TN State License required

• 750 hours of instruction for an esthetician required

• Three years experience working in the field preferred

• High school diploma or equivalent

LANGUAGE SKILLS

• Must have excellent verbal communication skills

• Must be able to communicate effectively with guests, managers, and team members

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

• Basic knowledge and understanding of math

REASONING ABILITY

• Must be able to exercise judgment and make decisions based on job knowledge and awareness of company goals

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to sit or stand for long periods

• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.

• Must be able to walk upstairs regularly

• Must be able to perform multiple services during the shift

• Must be able to operate a company vehicle or golf cart safely

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• 4,200 acres of Blackberry Farm property 

• Must be able to work in a calm and quiet spa setting
