Responsibilities Include
- Utilizing the nursing process to meet patient needs
- Communicating effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, stressful environment
- Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to standards of practice
- Graduate of a nursing school
- Minimum one year of experience or completion of Nurse Residency Program
- Current, unrestricted Connecticut RN license
- BLS certification
- Ability to obtain department-specific certifications
- BSN or MSN
- Two or more years of clinical experience in the specialty area
- Specialty certifications (e.g., CNOR)
- Knowledge of nursing principles and practices
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle multiple priorities, work under stress, and be a team player
- Basic computer skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Commitment to customer service and maintaining confidentiality
