Provides patient care utilizing the nursing process, ensuring professional accountability and evaluating care effectiveness. Coordinates patient care with other departments, maintains patient rights and confidentiality, and adheres to organizational standards.
Responsibilities
Works in the Operating Room within the Neuro Team, supporting a variety of surgical procedures including general, urology, plastics, gyn, orthopedic, neurosurgery, and cardiothoracic surgeries. Assists preoperative, anesthesia, surgical, and recovery staff to ensure safe patient care. Participates in training on equipment, patient positioning, and documentation, with opportunities for cross-training or advancing to scrub or First Assist roles.
Qualifications & Skills
Requires at least 1 year of RN OR experience preferred, with a nursing degree (Associate's, Diploma, or BSN). Must hold a current RN license and BLS certification, with additional certifications like ACLS as needed. Physical ability to lift 50 pounds, stand, walk, and perform various physical tasks is essential.
