What are the responsibilities and job description for the Radiologic Technologist position at Black Women's Mental Health Institute?
Role: Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging, explain procedures, operate imaging equipment, and adjust settings to produce high-quality images. Practice radiation safety, perform routine and specialized radiology procedures, process and review images for quality, and prepare images for physician review. Conduct routine equipment maintenance, diagnose malfunctions, and arrange repairs.
Qualifications: High school diploma or GED, license or temporary permit to practice Diagnostic Radiology, and ARRT certification or willingness to obtain within 180 days. Preferred experience includes 1 years as a Radiologic Technologist, familiarity with Epic EMR software, and orthopedic imaging experience.
Skills: Knowledge of radiologic procedures, radiation safety, equipment operation, and image processing. Ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members. Commitment to quality and safety standards.
