Provide diagnostic radiological services in a hospital or clinical setting, including clerical duties, while promoting team collaboration and reflecting organizational values.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiological procedures using appropriate equipment, including routine, emergent, portable, surgical, and fluoroscopic exams per departmental policies.
- Process images, utilize RIS and PACS systems, and assist radiologists with quality assurance and exam clarification; perform ECGs as needed.
- Manage patient transportation, registration, scheduling, file work, restocking supplies, and cleaning.
- Participate in on-call or standby schedules and perform other assigned duties.
- High School Diploma or GED; valid Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist License or Certified Radiologic Technologist certification.
- Basic Life Support certification within one month of hire.
- Proficiency with diagnostic equipment, imaging systems, and healthcare computer systems.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of radiology exams, including fluoroscopy, DXA, and portable radiography.
- Experience with digital radiographic exams within the last three years.
- Knowledge of PACS and electronic medical records systems.
- Associate’s degree in Radiologic Science or related field.
- Skills in time management, problem solving, adaptability, and following policies and procedures.
