Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and adherence to safety standards. Your expertise in various welding techniques and fabrication processes will contribute to the successful completion of projects across construction, manufacturing, and industrial applications. The majority is of your work will be shop based but there may be times where field welding jobs are required.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine fabrication requirements.
- Perform welding operations using MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) techniques in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards.
- Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and measuring tapes to ensure precise cuts and welds.
- Operate fabrication shop equipment including press brake machines, plasma cutters, pipe threading tools, Cnc table and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Fabricate sheet metal components, ductwork, piping systems, and structural elements following blueprints and schematics.
- Interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately to assemble metal materials according to specifications.
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment while adhering strictly to safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
- Assist with rigging, machining, soldering, and assembly tasks as needed on construction sites or in the shop setting.
- Conduct quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments to verify weld integrity and dimensional accuracy.
Skills
- Proven experience working on construction sites with a strong understanding of construction processes and safety procedures.
- Proficiency in various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, and gas metal arc welding.
- Ability to read mechanical blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and interpret engineering documents accurately.
- Skilled in fabricating metal materials such as sheet metal, ductwork, piping, and structural components.
- Familiarity with shop math including measurements conversions, basic calculations for fabrication dimensions, and blueprint interpretation.
- Experience operating fabrication equipment like press brakes, plasma cutters, pipe threading machines, power tools, CNC and machining tools.
- Knowledge of ASME codes & standards for pressure vessels or piping systems is a plus.
- Mechanical knowledge including rigging techniques, pipe threading procedures, and the use of measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers.
- Strong adherence to safety protocols including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) during all welding and fabrication activities.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments on manufacturing or construction sites.

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
