JOB TITLE: Restaurant Vendor

WAGE/HOUR STATUS: Full time/10-14hrs. a day, 3 to 4 days a week

DEPARTMENT: Driving

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Driver SUPERVISOR

DAYS/SALARY: 269 DAYS $15 hr. to $22 hr.

Will Have a 90 Days Probation at time of hire

JOB SUMMARY

This position requires a highly motivated, self-starting individual with a positive attitude who needs very little oversight in the daily scope of their duties and work activities. The successful candidate possesses verbal and written communication skills and utilizes those with superiors and those associated with the work. They are a problem solver. The individual is well organized. The person works well independently and as a productive member of a group. Candidate possesses a "safety first" mindset and models/nurtures safe working practices for themselves and staff. Must value/understand how to deliver quality and excellent customer service. Will be put on a 90 days probation.

JOB SCOPE

You will vend, collect and recycle used cooking oil from restaurants.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Driving to and from restaurants
• Picking up used kitchen grease from restaurants
• Maintain the routes, equipment and trucks.
• Collaborates closely with the Department's Lead regarding routes, equipment and trucks
• Demonstrates quality customer service daily.
• Is committed to working safely at all times.
• Gathers materials and tools necessary to complete work.

GENERAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Able to interact with department staff and vendors occasionally.
• Accepts other responsibilities as assigned or needed
• Attends all required meetings
• Works on special projects as assigned
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Is available to work overtime if required

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

Location of job may be in the office, shop, vehicle and outdoors. Is frequently exposed to dirt, dust, noise, vibration, fumes, odors, wetness/humidity, darkness or poor lighting and extreme temperatures. Is periodically exposed to mechanical, chemical, electrical and fire hazards. Sits, stands, walks, bends, and twists on a daily basis. You may have to kneel, crouch, squat, climb and lift several times per week. You will be required to lift 50 pounds and frequently lift 35 pounds.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATION

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Driver license required
• Clean driving record past 3 years
• Clean drug test

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

This candidate must be able to learn the job and preform duties quickly and proficiently. Skilled in oral and written communications. Possesses polite people skills. Experienced in the managing of work schedules. Requires reading, mathematical and written language abilities.
