Duties
- Prepare and cook grilled items according to established recipes and menu specifications
- Ensure all food is cooked to the proper temperature and presentation standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grill station, adhering to food safety protocols
- Assist with menu planning by suggesting new grilled dishes and seasonal specials
- Handle food with care, following proper food handling procedures to prevent cross contamination
- Support kitchen operations during busy service periods, coordinating with team members for smooth service flow
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate needs for restocking
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar culinary role, preferably in a restaurant or fine dining setting
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling practices
- Experience with dietary department procedures or dietary aide roles is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and organizational skills
- Prior experience in catering or food service industries is advantageous
