What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nursing - ED RN-Per Diem position at BLACK RIVER HEALTH INC?
Black River Health has an immediate opening for a PER DIEM Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department. This position plans and provides comprehensive patient care, manages available nursing resources, and collaborates with other healthcare team members to provide quality, cost-effective patient care. The position is required to float to various nursing departments when the need arises. This opportunity is:
- PER DIEM, 24 hours per pay period, Night Shift (5p-5a) every third weekend and holiday rotation, non-benefited
Essential Duties:
- Provides individualized patient and family-focused care throughout the patient’s stay.
- Evaluates patient assessments and responses to interventions and take appropriate action according to established standards.
- Delegates patient care activities to appropriate personnel and maintains accountability for those activities.
- Initiates effective discharge and referral plans on admission utilizing appropriate hospital and community resources.
- Accurately and effectively utilizes the patient acuity system to anticipate changes in patient care needs.
Educational Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Nursing required
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- BLS within three months of hire
- ACLS and PALS within one year of hire
- ENPC and TNCC within two years of hire
- Current unrestricted Wisconsin Registered Nurse license
