Accounts Payable / Receivable Specialist

Black Gallina Consulting is looking for an Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team! We are a small accounting firm specializing in small businesses in food and drink, retail, food manufacturing, and alcohol distribution. Our focus is on providing Fortune 500 expertise to the small businesses that make up our neighborhoods. About 80% of our clients are located in Seattle, WA with the rest spread across the nation. We act as an out of house financial department for our clients providing payroll, AP/AR, accounting, and advisory services.What Your Day to Day Will Look LikeMaintain the customer’s accounting records on a day-to-day basisProcess accounts receivable and accounts payableWork with the customer on the front line and answer any questions that they may haveProcess payroll via GustoOffer support to clients on the accounting apps used in your day-to-day workWhat You Need to SucceedYou can deliver spectacular customer service and you have experience in a customer facing roleYou have at least 3 years of Accounts Payable experienceYou are exceptionally detail oriented and organizedYou have an educational background in accounting or bookkeepingYou are tech-savvyYou are a problem solverYou are a clear communicatorYou are able to and like working in a fast-paced environmentYou are a pro at bank reconciliations and reconciling messy booksYou have handled reconciling sales taxes and filing the corresponding reportsYou have experience processing payroll (Gusto)You have experience using cloud accounting software (Quickbooks Online)You have experience paying suppliers (Plooto, Melio, etc)A plus but not requiredFluent in SpanishHave experience running Accounts Payable and Receivable for a small business in retail, restaurant, or alcohol distribution industry.Experience with Teamwork project management softwareExperience with any of the following software: Syft Analytics, Dext/Receipt Bank, Notion, 1Password, Okta, PlootoExperience with integrations between softwareIn-person vs. Remote WorkOur firm is currently entirely remote with no plans to be in-person.
