Are you a detail-oriented recruitment professional who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment? The Black Cultural Zone CDC (BCZ) is seeking a Coordinator, Recruitment to manage full-cycle talent acquisition, onboarding coordination, and orientation facilitation for our growing team. This role is essential to building the people infrastructure that powers BCZ's community impact.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Manage Full-Cycle Recruitment: Lead the end-to-end recruitment process including job postings, sourcing, screening, scheduling, and candidate communications for all open positions.
- Coordinate High-Volume Staffing: Support recruitment for seasonal, temporary, and high-volume staffing needs across BCZ programs and events.
- Facilitate Onboarding: Manage all post-offer onboarding logistics including new hire documentation, system access setup, and first-day coordination.
- Facilitate Orientation: Design and facilitate new team member orientation sessions that introduce BCZ's mission, values, culture, and operational systems.
- Maintain HRIS Records: Ensure accurate and timely entry of candidate and new hire data into the HRIS; maintain organized recruitment files and records.
- Track Recruitment Metrics: Monitor and report on key recruitment metrics including time-to-fill, source effectiveness, and offer acceptance rates.
- Support Compliance: Ensure all recruitment and onboarding activities comply with applicable labor laws, EEO requirements, and BCZ policies.
- Collaborate with HR Team: Partner with the Manager, Human Resources and Coordinator, Human Resources to ensure seamless handoff from recruitment to onboarding and payroll.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in full-cycle recruitment coordination or talent acquisition.
- Demonstrated experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HRIS platforms.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple open requisitions simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to represent BCZ professionally to candidates and partners.
- Commitment to BCZ's mission of centering Black culture, arts, and economic empowerment in East Oakland.

- Status: Full-Time, Hourly, 40 hours per week
- Schedule: Monday–Friday; some evenings and weekends as required
- Location: Hybrid, BCZ hub locations
- Hourly: $30.95 – $34.73 per hour
