Machine Operator - 1st shift
Black Cat Wear Parts, DeWitt, IA facility, a global manufacturer of Quality Wear Parts for the construction industry is currently accepting resumes for Machine Operators. We have openings for two shift patterns on 1st shift:
1A Shift: 5:00am to 5:30pm, Sunday through Tuesday - 3-12 hour days paid for 40 hours
1B Shift: 5:00am to 5:30pm, Wednesday through Friday - 3-12 hour days paid for 40 hours
Applicants with Heat Treat or Industrial crane experience encouraged to apply. Will train!
Essential Job Functions
- Operate various manufacturing equipment daily to produce blades
- Set up and verify production parts for each new run
- Maintain safe work environment around equipment
- Produce quality parts in a safe and efficient manner
- Ensure equipment is running as intended
- Monitor machine operation
- Detect problems with equipment using senses of hearing, vision, and smell
- Write basic programs
- Modify programs in response to problems
- Perform all General Labor positions in addition to job functions listed above
Successful candidates will have a High School Diploma/GED, able to lift 50 lbs., be a quick learner, safety and quality conscious, team oriented and thrives in a diversified work environment.
