Position Summary: This is a full-time on-site role for a Coordinator, Publicity, located in Santa Monica, CA. The responsibilities include administrative support for the department’s Head of Publicity while prioritizing and managing multiple work assignments and projects. Further functions include but are not limited to the key responsibilities listed below.

 

Key Responsibilities:

•       Provide administrative support to the Head of Publicity, including calendar management, scheduling meetings, coordinating travel, and processing expenses.

•       Maintain publicity calendars, campaign timelines, press breaks, press grids, and key contact databases.

•       Coordinate press screenings, junkets, premieres, Q&As, film festival activities, and special events.

•       Coordinate and manage all film-related travel logistics, including flights, accommodations, ground transportation, itineraries, and scheduling for talent, filmmakers on publicity campaigns.

•       Track and compile media coverage, press breaks, reviews, and social engagement; assist in preparing daily and weekly publicity reports.

•       Serve as a liaison between internal departments, filmmakers, talent representatives, publicists, exhibitors, festivals, and media partners.

•       Assist with the development and distribution of press materials, including press releases, media alerts, production notes, and electronic press kits.

•       Manage incoming media requests and coordinate interview schedules, talent availability, and press opportunities.

•       Organize and maintain publicity assets, including photos, trailers, clips, artwork, and press materials.

•       Coordinate delivery of publicity materials, screeners, invitations, and promotional items.

•       Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.

•       Prioritize and manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

•       Other duties and special projects as assigned.

 

Requirements:

·      1 years experience with respect to the Key Responsibilities listed above, preferably at a studio, production company, or publicity agency

·      Strong research skills and interest in the film, entertainment, and media landscape.

·      Demonstrated ability to prioritize competing demands, adapt to changing circumstances, and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

·      Proactive and solution-oriented work ethic

·      Self-starter with strong organizational skills

·      Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

·      Discretion. Can be trusted to maintain confidential and sensitive information and to exercise good judgment

·      Confidence in asking questions and quickly moving to action

·      Willingness to tackle matters outside area of expertise

·      Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially in Outlook, Word, and Excel.



Salary Range

$70,000 - $80,000

Head of Publicity

 

The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, and certifications or other professional licenses held.
