What are the responsibilities and job description for the Contract Recruiter position at Black Bear Talent?
Black Bear Talent is seeking an experienced Contract Recruiter to support hiring efforts for our client. This role is ideal for a recruiter with experience supporting manufacturing, skilled trades, operations in a high volume environment. This is a temporary assignment estimated to last 3 to 6 months, depending on business demands.
Hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm. This position will sit on-site at our clients' fiscality.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full cycle recruiting for hourly and skilled positions across manufacturing, operations, and related environments
- Source, screen, and qualify candidates through job boards, networking, referrals, and other recruiting channels
- Conduct phone screens and evaluate candidate qualifications, experience, and fit for open roles
- Coordinate interviews and maintain communication between candidates and hiring managers throughout the hiring process
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for high volume and difficult to fill positions
- Ensure a positive candidate experience through timely follow up and communication
- Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs, hiring priorities, and staffing timelines
- Maintain accurate candidate records and activity within the applicant tracking system (ATS)
- Support hiring events, workforce initiatives, and other recruiting activities as needed
- Move candidates efficiently through the recruiting process while maintaining quality and attention to detail
Qualifications
- Previous recruiting experience supporting manufacturing, skilled trades, operations, or high volume hourly hiring environments required
- Proven ability to manage multiple openings in a fast paced setting with changing priorities
- Strong sourcing, screening, and candidate engagement skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Experience using applicant tracking systems and recruiting platforms
- Ability to build strong relationships with hiring managers and candidates alike
- Must pass pre-employment background and drug screen.
- Associates degree or relevant work experience required.
