Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Hydrovac Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy equipment operation and mechanical knowledge, with experience in construction environments. As a Hydrovac Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating hydrovac trucks to excavate and expose underground utilities without damaging them. This role requires attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols while working on various construction sites.
Duties
- Operate hydrovac trucks and associated equipment for excavation tasks.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members to plan and execute jobs efficiently.
- Follow safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
- Manage the operation of water trucks and tankers for site needs.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and report any issues or concerns.
- Previous experience in off-loading and disposal.
Qualifications
- Proven mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required.
- Familiarity with oil rig sites practices and safety regulations.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
