Responsibilities
- Warmly greet guests as they arrive, providing a friendly and professional first impression
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table turnover while maintaining guest satisfaction
- Answer incoming phone calls with courteous professionalism, providing accurate information and reservations
- Assist guests with seating preferences, special requests, and answer any questions about the menu or restaurant services
- Collaborate with the restaurant team to ensure smooth flow of service and guest satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/hostess station and waiting area
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a host/hostess or in food service is highly preferred
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and a welcoming presence
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and guest relations
- Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Experience in hotel or hospitality environments is advantageous
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Knowledge of restaurant operations and guest services standards
