BizTek People is seeking an experienced Securities Accounting Specialist for our client in New York City! This temporary assignment is within our client's Securities Accounting team and requires strong expertise in US GAAP and JGAAP. The role involves financial reporting, analysis, reconciliations, and cross-border collaboration.
Location: 1271 Avenue of the Americas, New York, NY
Work Schedule: Hybrid (2 days onsite one week / 3 days onsite the next)
Hourly Pay Rate: $70/hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead monthly and quarterly close processes under US GAAP and JGAAP
- Prepare and review financial reconciliations and statements, including Head Office and BHC reporting
- Conduct variance analysis and explain significant movements in P&L and Balance Sheet
- Perform monthly balance sheet substantiation and intercompany reconciliations
- Support financial analysis and assist with internal and external reports
- Generate recurring and ad-hoc management reports
- Participate in system enhancements and business projects
- Collaborate with auditors and liaise with Tokyo and NY affiliates
- Maintain GL accounts and prepare weekly balance sheet estimates
Qualifications:
- Minimum 15 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in capital markets
- CPA preferred
- Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word – advanced), Hyperion, OneStream, DUCO
- Reporting experience in US GAAP (required) and JGAAP (preferred)
