Job Description
Provides
process and coordination of all activities related to the construction,
maintenance, operation and restoration of the underground and overhead
distribution and transmission systems. Supports effects to ensure the safe,
efficient and effective utilization of department resources.
Responsibilities
- Monitors and coordinates
departmental activities and resources including work crew personnel.
- Coordinates emergency and
pre-arranged activities to provide line crew support/· field support for
system restoration and scheduled maintenance.
- Supports efforts to identify,
implements and tracks various maintenance and capital programs and
expenditures in area of responsibility.
- Prepares and coordinates bid
proposals for outside contractors.
- Provides timely and accurate
reporting and analysis of field activities to senior management as needed.
- Serves as primary customer
contact for information on outage schedules and procedures.
- Assists in the department
planning and budgeting process by identifying and justifying tool,
equipment and personnel requirements.
- Evaluates and recommends
process improvements and integration of technologies to promote efficiency
and cost-effectiveness while maintaining a commitment to safety and
customer satisfaction.
- Ensures all compliance
aspects of position are known and followed; understands and complies with
all policies, codes and regulations applicable to position and company.
- Performs related duties as
assigned.
Requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an
accredited school in engineering, business, management, or related field
(or) journeyman lineman certification and 3-5 years of related work
experience.
- Candidates that do not
possess a bachelor’s degree (or) journeyman lineman certification must
have 7 years of related work experience.
- Utility line construction,
operating, and maintenance practices and industry concepts and standards.
- Applicable safety and
compliance regulations affecting the area of operation.
- Organizational, time
management, and communication with a diverse population.
