Derivatives Confirmations Specialist – OTC Derivatives & ISDA | Hybrid | New York, NY
BizTek People is hiring an experienced Derivatives Confirmations Specialist for a top financial services client in New York City. This is a hybrid, 6-month contract role with an ASAP start date.
Position Overview
Join a Derivatives Operations team supporting OTC portfolio operations and trade confirmations across multiple asset classes including Rates, Equity, FX, and Commodities. This role is focused on trade confirmation drafting, ISDA documentation review, and cross-functional coordination with trading, legal, front office, and client teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and execute confirmations for OTC derivatives across Rates, Equity, FX, and Commodities
- Verify inbound trade documentation and ensure accuracy of all trade details and confirmations
- Partner with trading, legal, and front office teams on confirmations and issue resolution
- Communicate directly with clients to resolve trade discrepancies and documentation requests
- Support structured transaction confirmations in collaboration with legal and marketing teams
- Assist with new derivatives client onboarding processes
- Contribute to daily derivatives operations workflows and process improvements
- Support ad hoc projects and team initiatives
Required Qualifications
- 2–5 years of derivatives operations or confirmations experience
- Hands-on experience with OTC derivatives; equity derivatives strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of ISDA definitions across multiple asset classes
- Demonstrated experience drafting and reviewing trade confirmations
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook; familiarity with trade capture systems
- Strong attention to detail with ability to manage multiple priorities
- Effective communication skills with both internal stakeholders and external clients
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required
