Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing bank statements, revenue reports, and other supporting documentation, performing risk analysis, and preparing clear recommendations for approval or decline. The Underwriter will collaborate with sales and operations teams to clarify application details, request additional information from clients, and ensure underwriting decisions are consistent with company policies and risk guidelines. This is a full-time, on-site role based in New York, NY, requiring regular communication with internal stakeholders and timely management of a pipeline of deals from initial review through funding.

Qualifications
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including experience reviewing financial statements, bank statements, and revenue data.
- Ability to assess credit risk, perform cash flow analysis, and develop sound underwriting recommendations.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills to document decisions and present findings to internal teams.
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deals and deadlines simultaneously.
- Comfort working with spreadsheets, underwriting tools, and CRM or deal management systems.
- Previous experience in commercial lending, revenue-based financing, merchant cash advance, or related underwriting role is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment and maintain high ethical and compliance standards.
