Role Summary
The Software Analyst will support the design, development, analysis, and maintenance of the enterprise data warehouse and reporting layer for the NYWIC application. You will act as a key liaison between business owners/SMEs and technical development teams (Data Modelers, ETL Developers, OBIEE Developers) to elicit, analyze, and document requirements for OBIEE reports, dashboards, extracts, and data mart updates.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Requirements & Analysis: Elicit, document, and communicate business and functional requirements (BRDs, use cases, process flows, report mockups) for new/enhanced OBIEE reports and extracts.
- Impact & Source Analysis: Analyze source data changes, conduct preliminary feasibility reviews, prepare impact analysis documents, and plan updates for DataMart/OBIEE.
- Technical Collaboration: Translate business rules to data modelers and ETL/BI technical teams for logical/physical dimensional data model development.
- Production Support (L2): Triage, analyze, and resolve incoming incidents for existing datamart reports; update status tickets and document resolutions.
- Testing & QA: Create and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate requirements, report output, and ETL processes across DEV, QA, and PROD environments.
- Stakeholder Facilitation & Support: Facilitate meetings/bi-weekly touchpoints, create end-user guides, and provide OBIEE Analytics training to DOH/NYWIC staff.

- 84 Months Experience: Candidate must be able to provide guidance to large teams, have extensive industry experience, study software application domains, prepare specification documents, and act as a liaison between users and developers.

- 84 Months: Analyzing and documenting complex business/functional requirements, business rules, BRDs, report mockups, and process flows.
