POSITION SUMMARYThe House Manager is responsible for keeping Lindsay’s home running smoothly so she can focus her time and energy on the business. This is a hands-on, in-home role focused on cleaning, household logistics, grocery runs, light meal prep, and ongoing organization.The House Manager will typically work 4 hours per day, 5 days per week (20 hours per week).JOB RESPONSIBILITIESThe primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Home Cleaning & OrganizationComplete daily “reset” of key living areas (kitchen, living room, dining area, entry, and primary bedroom/bathroom) according to a checklist.Perform light cleaning each visit: dishes, surface wipe-downs, tidying clutter, emptying trash/recycling as needed.Manage laundry end-to-end: wash, dry, fold, and put away clothing, linens, and towels in their proper places.Maintain consistent organization of closets, drawers, pantry, and storage spaces; return items to their “home” after use.Follow a rotating monthly deep-clean schedule (e.g., baseboards, windows, appliances, inside cabinets, vents) so one area receives focused attention each week.Keep an ongoing list of small home organization projects and complete them during available pockets of time.Proactively flag any maintenance issues (e.g., items broken, worn, or unsafe) to Afia and/or Lindsay.Household Logistics, Errands & RestockingMaintain an inventory of household essentials (cleaning supplies, paper goods, toiletries, pantry staples, etc.) and ensure the home is consistently restocked.Identify items that need reordering, prepare Amazon and other online restock lists, and coordinate with Afia/Lindsay for approval and purchase.Handle Amazon and other returns end-to-end: gather items, print labels (if applicable), package, and drop off at the correct location.Complete regular grocery runs (e.g., Sprouts and other preferred stores) based on agreed shopping lists and household patterns.Run local errands as needed (drop-offs, pick-ups, dry cleaning, simple store runs), using your own car with agreed gas/mileage reimbursement.Ensure all receipts related to household purchases are kept organized and submitted according to Lindsay’s preferred process.Keep entryway, mail, and packages organized; separate items that need Lindsay’s attention from those you can handle directly.Kitchen Support & Meal PrepPrepare simple, healthy sides and basics (e.g., washed/chopped vegetables, grains, salads, snacks) according to Lindsay’s preferences and any provided recipes.Ensure the kitchen is left clean and orderly after every shift: dishes handled, counters wiped, sink clear, and dishwasher run/emptied as needed.Organize fridge and pantry so items are easy to find, with older items rotated to the front and expired food discarded.Support light meal prep on designated days (e.g., portioning, reheating, assembling) to ensure fresh food is consistently available.POSITION REQUIREMENTS1.
