What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Accountant position at Bitcoin Depot?
Bitcoin Depot is seeking a Staff Accountant who will be responsible for carrying out tasks of a broad and complex nature, determining how to record items for P&L and balance sheet activity, and performing analysis and reporting of financial results. Complete general ledger journal entries, execute month-end close procedures, performs account reconciliations and analyzes balances appropriateness. This position is required to meet all scheduled monthly financial reporting deadlines and provide accurate and timely analysis and research on critical accounts as needed by the controller.

Responsibilities
- Assist with annual audits and provide requested information to our auditors
- Assist in month-end close may include account analysis, preparing ad-hoc reports, reconciling data, auditing tenant payments, and performing analytical activities to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Leads the monthly rent payment processes for all store owners.
- Provides customer service regarding collection issues, process, and review account adjustments, resolve customer discrepancies and short payments
- Weekly and monthly reporting regarding the status of accounts
- Assist with related special projects and other duties as needed
- Identify internal control improvement opportunity and assist management with process changes
- Leads the monthly rent payment processes for all store owners.
- Provides customer service regarding collection issues, process, and review account adjustments, resolve customer discrepancies and short payments
- 3-7 years of overall general accounting experience required
- Public accounting experience preferred
- SaaS or Technology industry experience preferred
- BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
- Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems
- Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
- Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills
