Duties

- Manage restaurant reservations efficiently using reservation management systems such as Toast POS.
- Coordinate seating arrangements and waitlists to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction.
- Answer phone inquiries with courteous phone etiquette, providing accurate information about wait times and reservation availability.
- Maintain organized guest lists and seating charts to ensure smooth flow during busy hours.
- Assist in cleaning and resetting tables promptly to uphold food safety standards and restaurant cleanliness.
- Support guest relations by addressing special requests or concerns courteously and proactively.
Skills
- Proven experience as a host/hostess or in food service, demonstrating excellent customer service skills.
- Familiarity with restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on clear phone communication and etiquette.
- Basic math skills for handling reservations, waitlist calculations, and POS transactions.
- Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure a hygienic environment for guests and staff.
- Exceptional organizational skills to manage reservations, guest flow, and seating arrangements efficiently.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced hospitality setting while maintaining a friendly demeanor.
