Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a friendly, positive attitude as they arrive, making them feel immediately welcomed.
• Manage reservation bookings and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
• Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table turnover while maintaining guest satisfaction.
• Answer phone inquiries with professionalism, providing accurate information about wait times and restaurant offerings.
• Assist guests with special requests or accommodations to enhance their dining experience.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area, ensuring a professional appearance at all times.
• Collaborate with managers and service staff to ensure smooth flow of service during busy hours.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a host/hostess or in food service is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for hospitality is essential.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with diverse guests.
• Knowledge of restaurant reservation/POS systems such as OpenTable/Micros POS is a plus.
• Excellent phone etiquette and guest relations skills to handle inquiries and resolve issues gracefully.
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Experience in customer service, hospitality, or hotel environments is advantageous.
