The individual in this role will serve as a vital team member within the Product Engineering function, reporting to the Engineering Manager - Portable Deep Cleaning. The Product Engineering CO-OP will perform a range of duties supporting product development and innovation.
Students at BISSELL enjoy the ability to work in a global organization (North America’s leading Floorcare brand) cross-collaboratively across several business functions. Our CO-OPs sit elbow-to-elbow with organizational leadership, allowing exposure that enhances what’s learned in the classroom.
Responsibilities
Applicants MUST be currently enrolled at an accredited, four-year university majoring in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field. The CO-OP will work during BISSELL’s normal business hours.

Responsibilities
- Support product development engineers through hands‑on involvement in conception, design work, assessment, and iteration of new products
- Assist with CAD updates, engineering documentation, and organization of design files and BOMs
- Participate in prototype builds, teardowns, and basic testing to support design validation and learning
- Help gather, document, and synthesize technical data, test results, and design learnings for team review
- Contribute to ongoing engineering projects and continuous improvement activities as needed

- 3.0 GPA or greater
- Have ability to self-manage and deliver results in a timely manner
