What are the responsibilities and job description for the Finish Machine Operator 1301 2nd shift (3pm-11pm) position at BISON METALS TECHNOLOGIES LLC?
Brings coils, using hook conveyor to downender of finish machine. Perform set ups or change overs for cut lengths and straightness of stock. Check for quality of material before and during production (O.D., wall, I.D., and defects). Required to use ring gauges to periodically check stock for ovality and diameter, mic wall thickness for eccentricity, etc. Change saw blades and brush both ends of tubes. Adjust straightener rolls, markers, counters as necessary. Exert average physical work effort in and around saws, shears but utilizing maximum mental attention to detail operations to maintain quality and safety of self and others. Operate overhead conveyor system as required. Hold tolerances of 2”, -0” on length – customer specs on O.D. and I.D. Keep assigned machinery and work area neat, clean, and orderly. Follow all safety and shop rules. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:Specifically check and maintain high quality standards (O.D., wall, I.D. and customer requirements). Use a high degree of visual checks to maintain safety and quality aspects of low-fin material production. Must have good mechanical knowledge and trouble shooting ability.
