What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community Engagement Connector position at Bismarck Global Neighbors?
Founded in 2015, Global Neighbors was established to support the welcoming and integration of New American and refugee youth and families across central North Dakota through mentoring, education, advocacy, and community support. What began as a one-on-one mentoring program has expanded to include English tutoring, vocational and computer assistance, referrals, and integration services for families in Bismarck-Mandan, Fargo, and surrounding communities. As the organization continues to grow, Global Neighbors is seeking a full-time Community Engagement Connector.
The Community Engagement Coordinator helps make the Village space an active, welcoming resource for New Americans, community partners, and the broader community. Through event coordination, outreach, and consistent communications, the member increases awareness and participation, builds connections across cultures, and supports opportunities for learning and belonging. Accurate records and documentation help Global Neighbors understand participation and improve future activities.
