Position Description
The Community Engagement Specialist that works to develop communication and outreach to our members, assist with programming and program development, and supports administrative tasks and daily operations to fulfill our mission.
Responsibilities
- Guide community marketing efforts
- Support relationship building with Designer Genes community members, families, and community allies
- Assist and support with day-to-day operations of the organization
Qualifications
- Minimum of a high school diploma
- Experience advocating for people with disabilities (preferred)
- Experience with member support, social work, or educational setting (preferred)
- Familiarity with and empathy for those with Down syndrome and their families (preferred)
- Ability to work independently and stay organized
- Experience in non-profit environment (preferred)
