About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Part-Time Finance Assistant to support the overall operations of our Finance Office. This position plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and assisting with audits and compliance processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly journal entries, reconciliations, and assist with financial reporting.
- Support quarterly EMMA reporting and probate court paperwork.
- Prepare schedules for annual reports, audits, and tax filings (including 990 and 1099).
- Assist with vendor management and implement paperless payment systems.
- Maintain and reconcile contracts, compliance documents, and electronic payment tracking.
- Respond to vendor inquiries and ensure accurate disbursements.
- Assist with accounting functions for Seafields by Bishop Gadsden.
- Support departmental projects and process improvements.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Accounting or 2–3 years of related experience.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
