Bishop Dunne Catholic School is seeking an experienced High School English Teacher for the 2026-2027 academic yearr. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated professional who undersands the joys and demands of teaching, with at least two years' experience teaching English at the secondary level and in-depth knowledge of the subject matter.

Job Requirements:
Teachers are expected to develop daily lessons that meet the goals of the classes, complete grading, maintain an advisory group and lead advisory group meetings, as well as perform all basic administrative duties (e.g., maintain attendance records, accurate grade books, and comment writing). This position reports to the Assistant Principal and has decision-making responsibilities within the framework of school policies, philosphy, organization, and curriculum.

Hours: Monday - Friday from 7:45 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., after school hours as required.
Education/Experience Requirements:
- A masters degree in English from an accredited university
- A valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for the subject and level assigned with an ability to teach AP and dual credit courses
- At least two years' experience teaching English at the secondary level
- Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the organization
- Solid technology skills for use in instructional and professional tasks
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States
- Must be able to pass a background check and comply with the Diocese of Dallas Safe Environment Program
