JOB SUMMARY

The Digital Media Specialist is responsible for managing marketing, advertising and promotional activities and is responsible for creating and managing digital content to promote the BJCTA brand, products, or services across various online platforms.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

· Design and implement digital media campaigns aligned with BJCTA’s goals.

· Create and manage digital content for websites, blogs, social media, and other platforms.

· Ability to create visually appealing marketing materials.

· Develop and execute social media strategies.

· Manage and optimize social media channels including but not limited to LinkedIn, X (formerly known as Twitter), Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.

· Capture and process quality images and videos for marketing, social media, and other digital platforms.

· Utilize editing software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Final Cut Pro) to enhance and finalize images and videos.

· Stay up-to-date with digital media trends and technologies.

· Optimize content for search engines (SEO)

· Coordinate with communications department and other BJCTA departments to ensure brand consistency.

· Monitor and analyze campaign performance using ROI and KPIs as specified by Marketing & Communications Director`.

· Ensure consistent application of organizational policies, work rules, and collective bargaining agreement provisions.

Required Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Digital Media, Communications, Graphic Design, Journalism, Public Relations, Multimedia, or a related field is required.

· Certifications in Adobe Creative Suite, Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Blueprint, HubSpot, or other digital marketing platforms are a plus.

Experience

· Minimum of 3–5 years of professional experience in digital media, content creation, digital marketing, social media management, or a related field.

· Demonstrated experience developing engaging digital content across multiple platforms, including websites, social media, email marketing, and video channels.

· Hands-on experience using Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, InDesign, and/or After Effects, to create and edit digital assets.

· Experience with content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress, Drupal, or similar platforms, along with a basic understanding of HTML/CSS.

· Proficiency in managing and optimizing social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, YouTube, and TikTok.

· Experience using digital analytics tools such as Google Analytics and social media insights to measure campaign performance and make data-driven recommendations.

· Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize competing deadlines, and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.

· Strong project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.

· Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external partners.

· A strong portfolio showcasing digital campaigns, graphic design, photography, videography, social media content, and multimedia storytelling is highly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience with SEO, SEM, email marketing, and paid digital advertising campaigns.

· Knowledge of branding, accessibility standards, and user experience (UX) best practices.

· Experience with photography, videography, and motion graphics.

· Familiarity with project management tools such as Asana, Monday.com, Trello, or Microsoft Planner.

· Experience working in government, public transportation, nonprofit, or public-sector organizations is preferred but not required.
