Executive Recruiter – A/V Industry

Location: Mayfield Heights, Ohio
Employment Type: Full-Time


About the Role

Birddog Talent is looking for a self-disciplined, motivated, and experienced recruiter to join our team and deliver results for our clients.

This is a high-activity, performance-driven role built around full-cycle recruiting. You will be responsible for everything from sourcing and outreach through candidate management, client interaction, and closing searches. Success in this role comes down to consistency, accountability, and the ability to execute daily without needing to be managed.


You will work across both contingency and subscription-based engagements, giving you exposure to different recruiting models while building long-term client relationships.

Birddog Talent is a boutique recruiting firm specializing in the A/V and Consumer Electronics industry. We partner with companies through both traditional contingency recruiting and a subscription-based model that allows for a more proactive and consistent approach to hiring.

Our focus is on building strong pipelines of qualified candidates, both active and passive, and helping our clients make better hiring decisions faster.


What You’ll Do

Full-Cycle Recruiting Execution

  • Own the entire recruiting process from intake through offer and close
  • Partner with clients to understand hiring needs and role requirements
  • Manage interview coordination, feedback, and candidate experience end-to-end

Sourcing and Pipeline Development

  • Proactively identify and engage top talent using LinkedIn, databases, referrals, and direct outreach
  • Build and maintain a consistent pipeline of qualified candidates across multiple searches
  • Focus heavily on passive candidates who are not actively applying

Candidate Management

  • Screen, evaluate, and qualify candidates for experience, fit, and long-term success
  • Present candidates to clients with clear, concise summaries
  • Build and maintain relationships throughout the hiring process

Client Support and Delivery

  • Maintain consistent communication with clients and keep searches moving forward
  • Deliver qualified candidates in a timely and reliable manner
  • Manage expectations and drive process efficiency

Daily Activity and Ownership

  • Maintain a high level of outbound activity including calls, messages, and follow-ups
  • Stay organized across multiple open searches and competing priorities
  • Take ownership of results and adjust approach when needed


What You’ll Bring

  • Proven full-cycle recruiting experience in an agency or in-house environment
  • Strong sourcing ability and comfort with direct outreach
  • High level of self-discipline and consistency in daily activity
  • Motivation to produce results without needing constant direction
  • Strong communication, organization, and follow-through
  • Ability to manage multiple searches simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
