Job Overview
We are on the lookout for a reliable Part-Time Bakery Driver to join our team. CDL is not required. In this role, you'll be responsible for safely delivering baked goods and supplies to various locations while ensuring timely and professional service. The ideal candidate is organized, customer-focused, and experienced in driving commercial vehicles. Must be 18 or older.
Duties
- Safely operate a box truck or van to deliver bakery products to customers and retail outlets according to scheduled routes on Tuesdays and Fridays.
- Load and unload goods using manual handling techniques.
- Adhere strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations during all driving activities.
- Ensure accurate documentation of deliveries, including verifying orders and obtaining customer signatures when necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of the vehicle, and reporting any vehicle issues promptly.
- Assist with Bakery operations by organizing inventory, moving supplies, and supporting stock rotation as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating professionally with clients during deliveries and responding to inquiries.
Skills
- Previous experience in delivery driving is preferred, especially with box trucks or vans.
- Knowledge of safe lifting practices and manual handling procedures.
- Familiarity with route driving, traffic regulations, and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
- Strong driving skills with experience in commercial truck driving or delivery driver roles.
- Ability to operate mobile devices for navigation, delivery tracking, and communication purposes.
