What are the responsibilities and job description for the Directional Driller Crossover (DDX) position at Bird Dog?

We’re looking for experienced Directional Drillers who can take the lead on location and support basic MWD surface troubleshooting when needed. Your Responsibilities:
• Lead directional operations on-site from spud to TD
• Coordinate with MWD, rig crew, and company reps
• Handle basic surface system troubleshooting (WITS, rig comms, decoding systems)
• Maintain survey records, reporting, and anti-collision protocols
• Own your location. Period.
You Should Have:
• Strong directional drilling experience in the Powder River Basin
• Solid understanding of MWD systems and surface comms
• Confidence to run the rig and solve problems independently
• A team-first mindset with strong communication skills
Bonus if You Have:
• MWD tool experience
• Experience with Azimuthal Gamma Ray tools
• Mentorship experience or willingness to train younger hands
