Key Responsibilities
Construction Billing
- Set up and maintain project estimates and contracts.
- Review material and labor reports; investigate and resolve discrepancies.
- Process change orders in collaboration with Project Managers.
- Prepare and submit monthly owner billing statements.
Accounts Payable (AP)
- Review, approve, and process invoices, expense reports, and payments.
- Monitor vendor discounts, tax compliance, and payment schedules (checks, ACH).
- Reconcile vendor accounts, bank statements, and general ledger accounts.
Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Record and apply incoming payments to customer accounts.
- Process remote check deposits.
General Accounting
- Assist with month-end close and financial reporting.
- Prepare journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Maintain accurate accounting records, policies, and procedures.
- Support special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent experience
- 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience
- Construction accounting and job costing experience preferred
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and procedures
- Ability to meet deadlines without compromising accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Professional demeanor and positive attitude
