Job Overview:
Birch Haven Campground is seeking an energetic and creative Seasonal Activities Coordinator to help plan and lead weekend activities, with a focus on engaging children and families. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with kids, organizing events, and creating a fun, welcoming campground environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and lead a weekly craft activity for children and families
- Assist in organizing and running campground events (games, themed activities, holiday events, etc.)
- Create a fun, inclusive, and safe environment for children participating in activities
- Work closely with campground staff to develop new activity ideas and improve existing programs
- Help set up, manage, and clean up activity spaces and materials
- Promote upcoming events and activities through the campground’s social media platforms
Qualifications:
- Enjoys working with children and families in a recreational setting
- Creative, organized, and able to come up with engaging activity ideas
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stay positive, flexible, and calm in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Traits:
- Ability to foster a fun and inclusive atmosphere for all campers
- Comfortable leading small groups and speaking in front of others
- Demonstrates responsibility, reliability, and good judgment
- Previous experience in camp counseling, or event planning is a plus
