Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with student goals.
- Deliver specialized academic instruction in reading, writing, math, and other core content areas.
- Provide individualized and small-group instruction to address student learning needs.
- Utilize data-driven instructional practices and progress monitoring.
- Implement positive behavior supports and classroom management strategies.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families.
- Maintain compliance documentation and student records.
- Participate in IEP meetings, staff trainings, and multidisciplinary planning sessions.
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field required.
- Active Virginia Special Education teaching license or eligibility to obtain licensure.
- Experience working with students with learning disabilities and academic intervention programs preferred.
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to create engaging and differentiated instructional experiences.
- Elementary school setting (K–5).
- Self-contained and pull-out instructional model.
- Small classroom environment with a maximum of 10 students.
