Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify and evaluate students with learning disabilities.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to meet students' unique needs.
- Provide direct instruction and intervention to students with learning disabilities in both individual and small group settings.
- Design and implement research-based strategies and accommodations to support students' academic progress and social-emotional development.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to ensure the successful implementation of IEPs and accommodations in the general education setting.
- Monitor students' progress regularly, collect data, and make data-driven instructional decisions to guide interventions and modifications.
- Provide professional development and support to teachers in implementing effective strategies for students with learning disabilities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress, services provided, and communication with parents and stakeholders.
- Advocate for students with learning disabilities, ensuring their needs are understood.
